Rafael:
Everyone is welcome. We join for sitting (zazen), followed by chanting
and Dharma talk & discussion.
When: Thursday Mornings, 7-8:30 a.m (Come ten minutes early for
meditation instruction.)
Where: Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, 1123 Court Street between
5th & Mission, downtown San Rafael, near Hwy. 101. Enter the parish
office main door to the right of the church building, upstairs and to
the end of the hall.
Even if only one person sits for a short time, because this zazen is one
with all existence and completely permeates all time, it performs everlasting
Buddha guidance.
California Street, San Francisco:
Everyone is welcome. We join for sitting (zazen), followed
by chanting and Dharma talk & discussion.
When: Wednesday Evenings, 7:30-9 p.m. (Come at 7:15 p.m. for meditation
instruction.)
Where:
Saint James' Episcopal Church, 4620 California Street, between 8th &
9th Avenues, San Francisco. Enter the courtyard through the gate; proceed
to the Parish Hall on the lower level of the church building. Go down
the stairs.
Learn to take the backward step that turns the light and shines it inward.
Body and mind of themselves will drop away, and your original face will
manifest.
Bolinas
Monthly half-day sittings. (Listen
to past dharma talks.)
Everyone is welcome. The morning retreat includes zazen (sitting
meditation), kinhin (walking meditation), a Dharma talk, discussion, and
chanting.
When:
9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month.
